Outstanding research conducted by T205 scholar Joshua Levine and published in the Spring 2007 issue of SGC Collector magazine (which was in the interest of full disclosure published by a company owned at the time by the current owner of Love of the Game Auctions) indicates that the Drum Cigarettes back is the most rare of all the T205 backs. Levine conducted a census of more than 20 000 T205 front/back combinations and Drum Cigarettes cards accounted for just .14% of the cards surveyed. While PSA does not yet differentiate the various backs of T205s the "legacy" population report of SGC would indicate just one T205 Jimmy Austin card with the Drum Cigarettes back graded AUTHENTIC. This example graded VG 3 by SGC exhibits outstanding left-to-right centering with some border chipping most pronounced on the right edge. Surface wear on the reverse with some light soiling does not detract from the eye appeal of the card the Drum back visible and aside from the wear and what appears to be some light tobacco staining unblemished. An incredible card an extremely rare back rendered even more so by the relatively high grade of VG 3 assigned by PSA.
