Grouping of five different newspaper supplements each featuring boxing champ Joe Louis. Collection includes: 1) Louis vs. Tommy Farr: 1937 photo spread featuring the two boxers posed as if fighting. 22" x 15 1/2" with some mild wear some lmall tearing at the left and right edges and a dog-ear at the tear along the right edge. 2) Joe Louis vs. Max Baer "Contenders for the Crown": 1935 newspaper spread featuring the two boxers along with the "tale of the tape." Fair condition with tears at the center fold and age-related staining all near the center. Approximately 20 1/2" x 15". 3) Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling: 1936 Newspaper spread that appears to be from before their first fight in 1936. Fair condition with significant staining measures 22" x 16". 4) Joe Louis Newspaper poster: 1946 New York Sunday News poster measuring 10 1/4" x 14" some light staining at the bottom-right and a few small tears at the edges. 5) "The Brown Bomber" Newsmagazine page: Title page of an article in the Sunday Times (we believe of New York). 11 " x 15 1/2" VG condition with minor wear. All five pieces have been dry mounted to cardboard and wrapped with shrink wrap and may be permanently attached to the board. Regardless five strong display pieces all featuring Joe Louis.
