Exceptionally attractive sign featuring Whit Wyatt of the Dodgers shilling for Chesterfield Cigarettes. Framed to a finished size of approximately 26" x 27" depicting Wyatt hurling a baseball at the viewer set against a bright green background. The advertising statement proclains "At all the games it's Chesterfield." THe sign appears to be in outstanding condition but close examination reveals area of restoration primarily inpainting to fill in areas of surface abrasion along the green background and also to recolor two lengthy horizontal creases that traverse the entire piece splitting it into thirds. The restoration is well done but overall encompasses 20-25% of the surface area of the front. The framing prohibits us from examining the edges or reverse of the piece but our expectation is that the inpainting likely includes the edges. Regardless a desirable advertising piece.
