Extremely difficult card of Yankees fan favorite Hank Bauer from the challenging 9-card Stahl Meyer issue of 1953. Always subject to condition issues due to their method of packaging and distribution the cards are extremely scarce and desirable with higher-grade specimens virtually nonexistent. Despite the GOOD 2 grade this example presents extremely well with very limited surface wear and a rich red background that accentuates the smiling image of Bauer. Staining is evident near the bottom of the card in the white border with the ubiquitous staining from the meat product lightly visible throughout.
