The R310 Butterfinger premiums were oversized photographs printed on unbelievably thin almost newsprint stock and distributed with Butterfinger candy bars. Due to the extreme lightweight paper these are very susceptible to damage of all kinds - it is common to find R310s torn wrinkled or with pieces missing and many times due to their large size (7 3/4 x 9 3/4") they are found with folds pinholes and tape.Presented is an unltra high-grade copy of the Lou Gehrig premium in as pristine condition as you will ever find an R310. The Gehrig along with the Babe Ruth are the two key cards in the set by far. Very minor signs of wrinkling at the corners (particularly the two left) and the tiniest hint of a tear at the top left border (no more than an eighth of an inch) are the only signs of wear and the reverse is completely clean. The top right corner bears the slight imprint of a photo mounting corner a sign of how this piece could have survived in such outstanding condition for nearly 80 years. The image quality in this piece is stellar. This is an outstanding example of one of the most condition-sensitive issues in all of collecting.
