Exceptional color postcard depicting the members of the Detroit Tigers raising the team flag at the start of the 1914 season. The team members (we believe Ty Cobb is located third from right hands behind his back) are lined up watching the flag raising bleachers filled with fans in the back. Printed along the top of the postcard is "Detroit Baseball Team having a Flag Day at the Season's Opening Detroit Mich." The 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" postcard has been postally used neat writing (from "Maude" to "Mary Martin") retaining the card's eye appeal regardless of the use.
