Attractive tri-fold panoramic postcard honoring the Waterloo Lulus of the Central Association in celebration of their raising of the pennant on May 13 of 1908. Unfolding to 16 1/2" x 3 1/2" the interior portion of the postcard pictures a panoramic in-game image inset with a photo of the team in street clothes. The game pictured in the postcard was taken on October 11 1907 against a team from Burlington Iowa. The interior section of the postcard includes pencil notations that help us to identify players and learn a bit about the team and game. Postally used on May 13 of 1908 and postmarked Waterloo Iowa additional pencil notations on the address panel refer to the game. The piece does exhibit wear consistent with postal use as well as some light staining on the interior of the postcard. A strong presentation some very light creasing near the folds but given the age and use of the piece quite attractive.
