Collection of eight supplements we had never seen before attributed to the Philadelphia Evening Times. According to Prewarcardscom the supplements were issued in 1913 featuring mostly New York Giants and Philadelphia Athletics with speculation that they were distributed during the World Series since those two teams faced each other in 1913. Each sepia-toned photo is printed on heavier paper - while it looks like newsprint it is significantly thicker though certainly not as thick as cardboard. Eight examples are included: Chief Bender (HOF): VG/EX condition with some minor corner wear and a faint but cisible crease at the upper left corner. Ty Cobb (HOF): GOOD condition wear at each corner that includes corner clips and paper loss. A few creases and wrinkles do not obscure the image area some ink writing is apparent on the reverse. Al Demaree: FAIR condition with significant edge wear and even more significant corner wear at the top corners which includes pinholes corner clips and paper loss. An additional area of paper loss is evident at the top edge. Larry Doyle: FAIR condition pinholes in the top corners and a minor corner clip at the bottom-right. Christy Mathewson (HOF): POOR condition with a two-inch tear at the bottom third of the right edge along with other surface abrasions and mild corner creases. A second tear is visible on the top edge though both tears lie flat so that they are more difficult to see when viewing inside a toploader. Rube Oldring: VG/EX condition with some minor wear at the corners and edges. Eddie Plank (HOF): VG+ condition with some surface abrasions and minor bends along with some edge wear and corner creases at both bottom corners. Jeff Tesreau: GOOD condition with some minor tears at the edges and some writing on the reverse. Eight premiums total.
