Few full-season pitching performances in history were greater than that of Bob Gibson's 1968 season. Finishing with a record of 22-9 wiith an insane 1.12 record Gibson threw 13 shutouts striking out 268 and walking just 62 for a WHIP of 0.853. Facing the dominant Detroit Tigers Gibson faced Tigers Cy Young winner Denny McLain and posted one of the most masterful postseason pitching performances of all-time pitching a complete game scattering five hits with one walk and striking out an amazing 17 batters a record that still stands. The stub is in VG condition with pronounced edge wear Gibson's unmistakeable signature in blue Sharpie along the bottom. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA the ticket itself also authentic.
