1951 New York Giants Polo Grounds Season Pass issued to noted sportswriter Carl Lundquist. Lundquist was a reporter who worked in New York and covered the Giants writing the legendary words "Never had there been a finish like this. Nor will there probably be another in our times. There just couldn't be." for New York Newsday. The article was picked up by newspapers all over the country the words reprinted for decades as a way of describing Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round The World" to win the 1951 pennant for the Giants. This is the pass that got him into the game. Outstanding historical significance exhibiting considerable wear and edge chipping but strong overall presentation. Occasionally auction houses will take creative liberties with season passes making statements about games to which the pass could have been witness. In this case we have the owner's own written words to advise us: this pass was there helping someone romanticize what has come to be known as one of the most dramatic postseason home runs in baseball history.
