Outstanding 1951 Season Pass issued to BWAA member Merrill Whittlesey of the Star based in Washington DC. 1951 was a tremendous season the debut of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays as well as the final season of the great Joe DiMaggio. Based in Washington Whittlesey certainly witnessed at least some of that and may have also been present for the "Shot Heard 'Round the World" and the Yankees' defeat of the Giants in a Subway Series that saw Mickey Mantle injure his knee an injury that sparked a million "What ifs." Pass does exhibit some wear and mild surface abrasions with softer edges and VG corners. Some mild creasing is evident an indication that Whittlesey got plenty of use out of this pass.
