I have one to sell!
Pitcher Bill Daley posted a record of 18-7 with the 1890 Boston Reds of the Player's League joining Ad Gumbert and Hoss Radbourn as three star pitchers for the first place team. This is an exceptional cabinet photo of the ballplayer pictured in his Boston uniform his name elegantly written underneath the image. Similarly to the other Boston cabinets featured in this auction it is entirely possible that this is actualy an 1889 cabinet depicting Daley with the Boston Beaneaters of the National League where he went 3-3 in 9 games before jumping to the Player's League for 1890. Though the cabinet has been clipped at all four corners (and rtimmed around the mount in places the mount itself is slightly different than the others that we have seen of players from this team printed in green rather than red. Image quality is strong though slightly faded with very slight soiling throughout.
