Robert Gould Inc. of New York was one of a few companies that issued plastic statuettes of baseball players in the mid-1950s. The Gould-produced issue was called the "All-Stars" series a series of 28 white plastic statues that came with a crude baseball card rubber-banded to the statue. The cards are all hole-punched with notches at each side to accommodate the rubber band. The cards are very scarce today a very desirable but seldom-seen postwar card type. An example featuring a Hall of Famer is particularly desirable. This exampl features just that the great Willie Mays a grade of VG 3 assessed by PSA reflecting overall wear particularly at the upper corners. Eye appeal however seems to far surpass the assigned grade.
