Truly exceptional card from the N403 Yum Yum Tobacco issue depicting one of the most popular and widely-collected players of the 19th Century the future reverend Billy Sunday. The card graded an incredibly high (for the issue) EX 5 by SGC (one of just two graded examples) boasts a clean image with some minor surface and corner wear and slight image fading consistent with the issue. The type on the card incorrectly identifies Sunday as Tido Daily an identical error which also occurs on Sunday's Four Base Hits card. Sunday obviously went on to become a well-known traveling evangelist and today remains one of the most popular and widely-collected non-Hall of Fame players of his era. Cards from the Yum Yum Tobacco issue are notably rare; collectors typically "settle" for whichever subject is available in an effort to obtain just a single card from the set. That such a popular and widely-collected subject as Billy Sunday is available here in exceptionally high grade for the issue represents a tremendous opportunity for an advanced collector to obtain a truly special card.
