I have one to sell!
Jaw-dropping display piece dating to 1939 produced by the Klie Bros. company of Boonsboro MD advertising their brand of flour. The piece is quite large framed to a finished size of 24" x 31". Printed on lightweight paper with metal reinforcing bars at the top and bottom the dominant image is the familiar illustration of the grand match at Elysian Fields in Hoboken NJ. Surrounding that image is a timeline chronicling the history of the game stats of the 1938 Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees the 1939 schedules a list of World Series winners and photos of some of the game's greats: Alexander Cartwright (HOF) Henry Chadwick (HOF) George Wright (HOF) John McGraw (HOF) John Wagner (HOF) Cy Young (HOF) Christy Mathewson (HOF) Grover Alexander (HOF) Connie Mack (HOF) Nap Lajoie (HOF) Ty Cobb (HOF) Walter Johnson (HOF) Tris Speaker (HOF) Eddie Collins (HOF) George Sisler (HOF) Morgan Bulkeley (HOF) Abner Doubleday and Ban Johnson (HOF). The piece dpes exhibit some very minor wrinkling in places its original reinforcements still in place with some minor wear and small tears along the left and right edges. The piece does show signs of having been rolled up for storage though this is not at all distracting. Simply a wonderful piece packing a ton of star power.
