Interesting advertising broadside that advertises Clarke Bros. whiskey. The broadside features "all-star" lineups from both the American and National leagues and works similarly to a punchboard game - purchasing a chance gives one the opportunity to pay between one cent and 18 cents. The player writes his/her name next to the player of choice and when all the boxes are filled in the seal at the top of the broadside is removed revealing the name of the "winning" player. Everyone else pays the amount revealed underneath the player's name. This unused piece has been framed to 11 1/2" x 13 1/2". While the broadside does exhibit some minor staining and areas of discoloration all are unobtrusive the piece overall boasting very strong visual appeal. An excellent piece an early item blending alcohol advertising and baseball.
