I have one to sell!
The N284 Buchner Gold Coin set was issued in 1887 by D. Buchner & Company of New York along with Gold Coin brand chewing tobacco. Each card features a generic player drawing and pose with a player's name position and team printed underneath. The same drawings are often used multiple times within the set each colored differently and depicting different players. There are three different back variations possible within this set. The 549-card set features multiple poses of many of its subjects. Presented here is a tremendous collection of 37 cards from the set all but three of which have been recently graded by SGC. The collection includes the following: SGC VG 3 (1 card): Fred Carroll; SGC G+ 2.5 (5 cards): Sam Barkley (Pittsburgh) Charlie Bastian John Cahill Cliff Carroll Jim Donnelly SGC GOOD 2 (2 cards): Sam Barkley (St. Louis) Charlie Ferguson; SGC FR 1.5 (11 cards): Ed Dailey Con Daley Charlie Getzein Will Gleason Egyptian Healy George "Piano Legs" Gore Tip O'Neil Danny Richardson (Hands On Knees) Joe Strauss Marty Sullivan Jim Whitney; SGC PR 1 (8 cards): Ed Beecher Henry Boyle Joe Gerhardt Arlie Latham Emmett Seery (Hands at right shoulder) Danny Sullivan Curt Welch; Art Whitney; SGC A (7 cards): Tug Arundel Sam Crane Tom Forster Dick Johnston Joe Mulvey (Hands above head) Mark Polhemus Blondie Purcell; UNGRADED (3 cards each likely cut from an advertising poster): Burns Orr and Williamson. An exceptional collection of N284 Buchner cards including many of the most widely-collected names of 19th Century baseball all but three graded by SGC. 37 cards total.
