Extremely interesting illustration of Chicago centerfielder Bill Lange a member of the team between 1893 and 1899 and owner of a .330 lifetime batting average during that time. Lange led the league in stolen bases in 1897 with 73 and scored 100 runs or better in three consecutive seasons. The illustration is drawn onto heavy board measuring 5 1/2" x 9" with various editoorial markings and the Sporting News stamp on reverse along with the Sporting News Collection decal.
