Beautiful E.R. Deats magic lantern slide featuring Chicago catcher Gabby Hartnett in full uniform posing for the camera as if to throw the ball. Wonderful full-color image in outstanding condition. Such slides were widely used in the early part of the 20th Century paired with special projectors which gave people an early look at color photos of people locations and other items of interest. The slide is in excellent condition a rare full-color image from the dawn of the live ball era.
