I have one to sell!
Primarily issued in 1910 the Plow Boy Tobacco set includes 49 known subjects issued by the Spaulding & Merrick Company and distributed in exchange for coupons. The cards are among the most rare of all tobacco issues today. The cards all featuring members of the Chicago Cubs or White Sox each feature beautiful player photographs set against a white background. That coupled with the white card backs result in significant condition issues. This example featuring Solly Hofman of the Cubs has been graded VG/EX 4 by SGC one of just six examples graded with but one higher. PSA lags behind SGC with their grading of this issue having assessed just six examples of any card. The photo is extremely crisp and vivid the whiteness of Hofman's uniform set nicely against the white borders to create a stunning card.
