Complete 10-card set of the cards classified as H804-15A (misidentified in our printed catalog as H804-15B). Each of the Victorian-era illustrations pictures a different position on the field along with a witty caption at the bottom of the card. As with other trade cards they are susceptible to condition flaws due to the lightweight paper as well as the telltale signs of scrapbook removal. Advertising messages can be printed on the front back or both. The 804-15A designation are identified by a small number "9" printed in the lower-right corner of the card inside the border. This is an attractive and desirable set seven of the cards containing advertising messages on the reverse and three with printed messages on the front. Two of the cards exhibit moderate trimming however the entire red borders are visible with all ten cards. Grading roughly GOOD the primary condition flaws relating to glue remnants on the card backs. An exceptional set 10 cards total.
