Spectacular full ticket from baseball's centennial season of 1939 for an April 21 game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs at Sportsman's Park. The game was the home opener for the Redbirds though they lost the game 4-2 Cubs pitcher Bill Lee scattering 11 hits over the full 9 innings. Chicago benefited from home runs by Stan Hack and Joe Marty. The ticket is simply spectacular a four-color work of art promoting the red white and blue motif of baseball's centennial logo. Outstanding souvenir ticket in G condition with very little wear on the front but two spots of paper loss on the reverse likely from scrapbook removal.
