Most certainly printed in 1894 this card depicts Monty Ward in the final year of his career listed as a second baseman with New York. The grade of VG/EX 4 is deceptive; first just two examples have graded higher than this with either grading company. Second the card presents wonderfully left-to-right centering likely responsible for the grade but certainly not detracting from the visual appeal of the card. Sharp edges and corners suggest an EX or perhaps better assessment the image quality is deep and rich.
