Released in 1916 by the Globe Clothing Store of St. Louis these cards cataloged by Burdick as H801-9 but related closely to the M101-4 cards and other similar regional and local cards that utilized the same design. The Globe Clothes cards are an interesting variety of these cards a more difficult type that often commands a premium over its counterparts.This card of Cardinals pitcher Leon Ames features strong centering for the issue and a sharp image. Graded EX 5 by PSA this is the only graded copy currently available as just over 200 individual cards from this 200-card set have been graded. A difficult-to-obtain version of a popular black-and-white photographic issue.
