One of the hobby's more desirable of Ty Cobb's mainstream issues the T227 Honest Long Cut. The T227 "Series of Champions" cards were issued with both Honest Long Cut and Miner's Extra tobacco brands and featured four baseball stars (Cobb Bender Baker and Marquard) among the 25-card set that included other famous athletes. The oversized cards are prized mong collectors who despite the small size of the set still have difficulty completing just the baseball players due to the scarcity of the cards as well as the expense. The cards are typically found in collector grades partially due to their above-average size for the era making storage more difficult. Such is the case with this example graded POOR 1 by SGC due to overall wear most pronounced at the top and bottom along with surface dirt that slightly dulls the bright orange/yellow background of the card. Extremely desirable in any condition.
