One of the most underrated sets of the gum card era the Diamond Stars issue features colorful bright Art Deco designs and player illustrations. Printed on heavy stock the issue was produced over two years and features a number of variations. Included here are four examples of higher-grade cards assessed by BVG: 1) #2A Al Simmons (HOF); graded EX-MT 6 well-centered with a clean surface; 2) #30A Heinie Manush (HOF) w/W on Sleeve graded EX-MT+ 6.5 with sharp square corners and exceptional centering. 3) #47 Cliff Bolton; graded NM 7 sharp with slight wear to the lowe-right corner. 4) #50 Mel Ott (HOF) graded EX-MT 6 with strong eye appeal and centering. A very appealing collection of cards among the most attractive of their day. Four cards total.
