Seldom-seen French issue depicting Babe Ruth issued as part of a 136-card set issued by the Jean-Donat Dupont gum company depicting Babe Ruth and dated by Old Cardboard to 1935. Though another auction listing indicates the photo was obviously taken during a barnstorming game in Indiana it was actually taken during the 1934 Tour of Japan as described in French right on the card reverse ("Indiana-Sport-Avion" likely refers to the company's card subjects which included cowboys and indians airplanes and sports figures). One of just two baseball-related cards in the issue (the other depicts Pittsburgh pitcher Darrel Blanton) this example has been graded AUTHENTIC by SGC due to paper loss at the lower-right corner the letter "N" filled in with pen. Still an outstanding and difficult-to-find card of Ruth.
