The 1917 White Sox won the World Championship led by Shoeless Joe Jackson Hap Felsch Buck Weaver Eddie Collins Chick Gandil and Ray Schalk star pitchers Eddie Cicotte Red Faber and Lefty Williams anchoring the rotation. All eight of the "Black Sox" were members of the 1917 team the winner's share of $3 669.32 paling in comparison with the money taken in by the players participating in the 1919 throwing (a minimum of $5 000 Chick Gandil making $35 000). The pass presents well though the left edge has been visibly trimmed. The signature of team president Zachary Davis has faded with time and some discoloration exists at the corners. An outstanding pass despite the wear from a World Championship team in advance of the season that almost devastated the game.
