Enormous 1959 advertising poster featuring the Baltimore Orioles as endorsed by Gunther Beer. The Gunther endorsement appears in the background in the form of a sign on top of the scoreboard; we are told of a similar version of this poster that does not contain the Gunther ad in the background. Players are identified at the bottom of the poster and includes Hall of Famers Hoyt Wilhelm and Brooks Robinson. Dry mounted with cellophane to a cardboard backing the piece presents as EX-MT though closer inspection reveals the lower-left corner has been repaired with significant inpainting. Signs of repaired tears can also be seen in various areas and although we cannot examine the back of the piece without removing the cellophane the edges suggest that it may have been mounted to a linen backing for protective purposes. Still a significant piece a large-format team photo poster featuring a young Brooks Robinson.
