Spectacular grouping of four original Type 1 news service photos taken by famed baseball photographer Paul Thompson. Collection includes the following: 1) Nemo Leibold: 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" photo in excellent condition some mild soiling along the top. Editorial markings date the photo to 1916. Thompson photo is clearly stamped on the reverse and Christies' Baseball Magazine hologram decal is affixed to the bottom left corner. 2) Lena Blackburne: 6" x 8" photo of one of our favorite players presents strong with some edge wear and a notch of paper loss at the bottom-left. Markings on the reverse date the photo to 1910 with a vintage Paul Thompson stamp and Christies' Baseball Magazine decal affixed to the reverse. 3) Stuffy McInnis: 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" action photo depicting McInnis in the batter's box. Editorial markings on the reverse include the Thompson stamp as well as an owner stamp from The Ring magazine. 4) Orval Overall: Attractive 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" photo with wide white borders in excellent condition with a small crease at the upper-left corner and some faint wrinkling at the top right along with a surface blemish in the center left of the photo near Overall's hip. Thompson stamp appears at the bottom along with the remnants of a slug attached to the bottom reverse. Full LOA from PSA/DNA on each photo. Four photos total.
