I have one to sell!
Virtually all of us at one point or another have had a love affair with wiffle ball. In the case of this writer perhaps the love affair was too great as I took part in neighborhood wiffle ball leagues where we each had rosters filled with major league "players" (represented by 1977 and 1978 Topps baseball cards) and we were encouraged to pitch and hit to the skill level of the player we were representing (i.e. when Cecil Cooper came to the plate he batted left-handed and had a propensity to crush long home runs onto the roof of our house resulting in the nickname "On The Roof Coop " a name we still call him today when we see each other 40+ years later). Presented here is a lifetime of memories - collectible ones - most related to Wiffle Ball all endorsed by Ted Williams. Collection inludes: 1) Ted Williams Brand Shin Guards: please note that our photographer misinterpreted the plastic wrapping as "retail packaging " and this is not the case - we will provide a new photo of these items as they are most definitely used. Well-worn shin guarts with Ted Williams endorsement on the knee covers both shinguards are entirely intact though some stitching and lacing have come loose. 2) Wiffle Ball "King" In Original Packaging: softball-sized wiffle ball in its original box lightly-used. Box is well-worn (top of lid has come off but remains present) featuring the likenesses of Ted Williams Whitey Ford and Eddie Mathews. 3) "Little League Size" Wiffle Ball In Original Packaging: Small (2 1/4") ball in original box unused with Ted Williams likeness on the box. Excellent condition with mild age-related soiling and toning along with light wear to the box edges. 4) Wiffle Ball in original plastic packaging with paper header card: apparently unused packaging and header card is very well-worn likely re-stapled at some point with endorsements from Williams and Eddie Mathews. 5) Wiffle Ball and Wilson header cards advertising flyers and instructions (6): Various packaging elements of Wiffle Ball and Wilson products some including endorsements from Ted Williams. 6) Ted Williams Bait Casting Line: two reels of Ted Williams brand fishing line in original plastic case likely unused but opened EX condition. 7) Ted Williams Crow Call: Ted Williams-endorsed crow call on original lanyard. Used appears functional but the best we could get out of it was a light "squeak " so probably better for display rather than hunting purposes. An excellent collection of Ted Williams endorsed products primarily related to Wiffle Ball but also including other products. 12 pieces total.
