Multi-signed baseball with 21 signatures from members of the 1947 World Champion New York Yankees. The ball was obtained by young Maryanne Filangieri a New York area collector who grew up an enormous sports fan eventually becoming the president of the New York Islanders fan club. A portion of her collection of game-worn and signed hockey jerseys are offered elsewhere in this catalog. The ball is clearly well-toned covered with a heavy layer of shellac which has browned with age. Many of the signatures are not visible or legible. Sill our friends at James Spence Authentication were able to review the ball in "the machine" (their video spectral comparator) to review the baseball and detect more signatures than are viewable with the naked eye.
