Excellent collection of three postcards featuring professional teams or players. Collection includes: 1) Fred Parent and his new residence Sanford ME. Parent retired as a player in 1911 and lived the rest of his life in Sanford this interesting postcard pictures the residence with an inset image of Sanford. 2) Monett vs. Sarcoxi 8/16/09 Kling Catching. Catcher Johnny Kling was a man of many talents including being a very competitive pocket billiards player and owner of a billiard hall in Kansas City. In 1909 Kling spent some time on hiatus from baseball while starting the billiard hall but clearly played some ball in his spare time as evidenced by the photo on this postcard. 3) Columbus Base Ball Team for 1906. The Columbus Senators of the American Association featuring quite a few future major leaguers including Ollie Pickering Heinie Berger Bill Clymer Ernie Groth Rudy Hulswitt Bill Hinchman and more. The players are identified in pencil on the postcard. Three intereting postcards all with pro baseball significance.
