I have one to sell!
One of three or four different cards from the T3 Turkey Red cabinet card issue that can truly be considered "iconic " the image of Christy Mathewson captured on this beautiful card is one of the best-recognized and most beloved in the hobby. As a result this is the Turkey Red cabinet that along with those same three or four others tops the want list of so many type collectors. Depicting Matty at the set position (though not on a pitcher's mound) this image of Mathewson has been used in so many places it's hard to keep count. This is a stunning example of the card. Clean and sharp with an unblemished image and virtually no perceptible wear save for somfter than NM top corners this is one of the finest Turkey Reds we have handled despite having sold a high-grade near set some time ago. The card is simply wonderful. The "MK" in PSA's qualifier refers to an owner's stamp on the reverse stamped the property of one Tom Doran. Owner stamps are in our opinion a fascinating addition to prewar cards that actually increases the desirability of the card because it puts the card in someone's hand. Tom Doran took great care of his Mathewson stamped it with his name but otherwise did not handle it much as it is in nearly-new condition with no other wear to the reverse. No tack holes no chipping or smuding no soiling or wrinkles - simply a phenomenal example from the set one of the most popular and beautiful in the hobby.
