Beautiful official Pittsburgh Pirates program dating to 1902 produced for a game against the Boston Braves. The Pirates lineup features Fred Clarke hitting leadoff and playing left Tommy Leach at first and Honus Wagner in right field. Never thought of as an outfielder Wagner actually played multiple positions playing 118 games in the outfield in 1900 splitting the 1901 season between outfield shortstop and third base and splitting the 1902 season between outfield shortstop and first. It wasn't until 1903 that Wagner became the full-time shortstop. The program and scorecard is a beautifully-lithographed piece printed in red and blue and includes portrait photos of the likes of Fred Clarke Jack Chesbro and of course Wagner. The piece is technically in poor condition the pages separated from the spine holes where the staples once held the pages together. Despite the condition flaws the piece is fantastic well worthy of display a tough to find early Pirates piece.
