Collection of five different cards from the estate of Farmer Ray. Ray was a minor league ballplayer between 1908 and 1916 who managed 21 appearances with the 1910 St. Louis Browns. This collection includes four real photo postcards plus one M116 Sporting Life card of Ray the only baseball card on which he appeared. The first two are identical postcards of the Muskogee Navigators of the Western Association the team with which Ray played prior to having his contract purchased by the Browns. Both images are faded the postcards in POOR condition with paper loss and significant staining on the reverse. The third postcard is a team photo dated 1918 featuring an unknown but clearly organized team. This postcard is in POOR condition with writing and staining on the front significant staining on the reverse but a quality image. The fourth postcard is an unknown team likely from the Colorado Springs area the photo sent to Ray by a friend in 1910 while he was with the Browns. Five cards total originating from the estate of former major leaguer Farmer Ray.
