Apparently in 1952 to communicate the idea that a player was also a placekicker inserting a drawing of the bottom of a show into the illustration of the player was sufficient. An exercise in warped perspective and odd angles we are led to believe that Groza's tiny right foot apparently just completed a kick determination written on his helmetless face the dirt of a 1950s football field seemingly absent from the bottom of said shoe. Given the strange perspective of the foot one is left to wonder whether Groza's leg is long enough to reach the ground or if it dangles helplessly from his hip as he hops downfield on his left leg to chase down the kick returner.
