Attractive pre-rookie card of Joe Stydahar. Stydahar who broke in with the Chicago Bears in 1936 was finished with his playing career by 1947. At that point he became a coach and was head coach of the Rams when his Bowman cards were issued - it is the 1952 Bowman issues that are generally considered Stydahar's rookie card. Yet here is a 1936 Diamond Matchbook of Stydahar issued sixteen years earlier than his "rookie " and definitely less expensive. Graded VG 40 by SGC with minimal wear for the grade.
