Extremely rare and attractive composite photo postcard picturing the St. Mary's College of California baseball team. St. Mary's was a significant baseball school at the turn of the century producing such players as Duffy Lewis Dutch Leonard Gavvy Cravath Harry Krause Hall of Famer Harry Hooper and coach Hal Chase. Krause Hooper and Chase are all pictured in this postcard most notably Chase in street clothes in the photo in the center and Hooper (standing far right) as well as Krause (center row next to Chase). All three players are also pictured in the inset photos identified by the legend in the bottom border. Graded POOR 10 by SGC the grade is hardly relevant as it is highly unlikely that many examples survived. An outstanding pre-rookie card of Hall of Famer Harry Hooper as well as one of collectory favorite Hal Chase.
