Beautiful 7" x 9" cabinet photo featuring Claude Berry. In 1902 and 1903 Berry was a member of the Dallas Griffins of the Texas League the uniform of whom Berry is wearing underneath his pea jacket (please note: this auction contains two Berry photos - one with the jacket one without - which is how we know what he's got underneath the jacket). The Old English "D" is emblazoned on the front pocket of the jacket. Berry stands in front of the ballpark grandstand arms at his sides gazing into the middle distance. The photo exhibits some mild staining and spotting the cardboard mount worn particularly at the corners with a pinhole at the top center. Berry's name is scrawled in pencil on the reverse.
