Interesting pair of advertising display cards for the R310 Butterfinger issue. The Butterfinger premiums measured 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" and were distributed with Butterfinger candy bars printed on extremely light stock. A version of the premiums were distributed to retailers for advertising purposes to be displayed in locations that were offering the premiums. Those display pieces were printed on durable heavy stock with a red advertising overprint describing the promotion. The advertising displays are obviously far more scarce today than the premiums themselves. Presented here are two such advertising cards of Bob O'Farrell and Tex Carleton. Both do exhibit condition flaws as one might suspect which are related to wear and display - discolorations and edge/corner wear are evident on the O'Farrell with two slight tears repaired on the reverse with clear tape. The Carleton suffers from corner and edge wear with what appears to be a red ink mark at the lower-left border and discoloration around the edges at the reverse. Still the overall presentation with both pieces is strong. Two scarce advertising displays associated with the 1934 R310 Butterfinger issue.
