Issued between 1910 and 1912 the P2 Sweet Caporal set includes 152 players and many variations making quite the challenge for even the most persistent collectors. Measuring at 7/8 inch in diameter these pins feature excellent black and white images of the most popular baseball players of the era and borrow most images from the T205 tobacco set. This small-letter variation features Hall of Fame member Ty Cobb with the famous “D” for Detroit on his cap and is in “excellent – mint” condition. Showing no major flaws and only what appears to be some absolutely minor surface wear this is a highly attractive pin of one of the era’s most famous and popular players.
