One of an exceptional grouping of cabinet photos that we are breaking into individual lots featuring members of the 1896 Cornell football squad. Under coach Joe Beacham the program then in its 10th season finished with a 5-3 record behind Yale and Harvard for third place in their Independent conference. Virtually all of the players are unidentified unless specifically noted each grading in the VG/EX range with photos appearing NM and edge and corner wear to the mounts. Specific condition issues are noted in the individual descriptions of each of the photos. An excellent assortment of early Ivy League football cabinets. Minor stains impact the image itself though the photo still appears strong with vivid contrast. The mount does exhibit mild wear at the edges and corners.
