Interesting collection of 11 pages from a personal photo album once belonging to noted collector Barry Halper chronicling a 1989 trip to Italy for Halper his wife Sharon and Yankee great Joe DiMaggio. The travel itinerary included in the collection saw the group depart JFK Airport in New York on June 27 via Air France to Paris where they spent a few days before moving on to Florence before taking a TWA flight back from rome on July 8. Along with the itinerary are multiple photos of the three vacationers at various points of interest along the way. Ever the collector included in the scrapbook are two pieces of memorabilia from the Hotel Augustus in Florence both signed by DiMaggio (a hotel envelope and Do Not Disturb placard). A fascinating piece of memorabilia once belonging to Barry Halper chronicling his well-known friendship with the Yankee Clipper.
