I have one to sell!
In many ways the 1922 World Series symbolized a ringing out of the old and a ringing in of the new as John McGraw's New York Giants defeated the Yankees in five games (winning four along with a controversial tie). The Series would be McGraw's last victory with the two teams returning to the Fall Classic the following season with the Yankees winning their first - and the first World Series in the brand-new Yankee Stadium. Presented here is an official program from the 1922 Series with outstanding display characteristics and yet in just fair condition replete with creasing a fold that traverses the center of the cover and some mild paper loss and tearing around the edges. Despite the flaws an excellent display piece the final New York Giants' World Series victory under the legendary John McGraw. PLEASE NOTE: Closer inspection has revealed that the spine of the publication though carefully held together with its original staples has been reinforced with two additional staples placed through the cover near the spine visible on the front of the publication. Due to the placement of these staples we cannot ascertain whether the entire publication is intact with its natural staples or not. Should any bidder on this lot desire to cancel their bid we will honor that request provided that it is made prior to 7:00 PM Eastern Time on November 25 (the auction closing night). Should you wish to retract your bid please email [email protected].
