Beautiful 1925 New York Times Mid-Week Pictorial depicting an unusually trim-looking Sultan of Swat busting it out of the box after putting a ball into play. The photo is unusual and quite attractive one of the few photos of Ruth that do not depict him either posing for the camera or in the midst of his powerful swing. The display value is excellent some natural age-related wear along the edges and spine with a few edge tears and very minor paper loss in places none of which detract significantly from the display value of the piece.
