Similar in nature and design but much larger than the typical L1 tobacco "Leather " this one measuring nearly 2 1/2 feet wide by 2 1/2 feet high. The astonishing size has resulted in some visible wear including staining tears and holes around the edges (one of which appears to have been repaired with clear tape). The image of George Washington atop his horse sword pointed is clear and colorful plainly visible with strong contrast. Typical L1 leathers measured 10x12" - less than half the size of this example - and were redeemable in exchange for 25 coupons. This piece boasts a similar design to the actual L1 Leather George Washington though there are subtle differences - notably the size. An outstanding display the largest leather premium we have ever encountered with a clear sharp design.
