The 1955 Dodgers due to their World Series victory over the Yankees are one of the most widely-collected legendary teams in the game. To honor the championship team Schaefer beer distributed this 13 x 20 3/4" die-cut pop-up photo to Brooklyn-area bars. The display is made of lightweight board the "pop-up" style meant to approximate a three-dimensional photo inside a wood picture frame the Schaefer logo at the top. Due to the nature of the piece they are virtually never seen without considerable wear as is the case with this example which is torn in places and exhibits considerable wear at the edges and folds. The image quality is quite strong the players recognizable. An outstanding display piece heralding the World Series victory of the Brooklyn Dodgers - one of the few seasons their fans didn't end with the famed phrase "Wait 'til next year."
