Prewar baseball card collectors will immediately recognize the T206 Ray Demmitt variation as being one of the most challenging cards in the T206 set and one of the most sought-after variations in pre-war collecting. Graded “POOR” by SGC due to creasing and paper loss towards the bottom of the card this example does show its age though the paper loss does not interfere dramatically with the card image. Despite the wear Demmitt’s image remains largely unblemished and the card’s colors remain rich. Overall this card is in collector grade but is one of the most desirable and recognized cards in the era’s most popular baseball card set.
