Featuring Baseball Hall of Fame member Sam Thompson this N172 Old Judge Cigarettes card shows the Hall of Famer in pose 456-4. Despite PSA’s designation that this is an 1887 card it is actually a tougher 1890 card. Thompson moved from Detroit to Philadelphia for the 1890 season. Interestingly this same image was used for his earlier cards in the set and Goodwin simply plastered a Philadelphia logo across his chest covering what once read "Detroit." This particular example does show general wear consistent with the card’s age including corner wear surface wear and some spotting.
